National Young Unionists and Workers Conference
 
On the weekend of 2-4 October 2009 UnionsACT and YOUACT (the ACT young unionist group) are hosting the 2009 National Young Unionists and Workers Conference in the UnionsACT Canberra conference centre.
This is the third annual conference of its type with previous ones in:
2007 hosted by U-Who and SAUnions
2008 hosted by Victorian Young Unionist Network and VTHC

UNIONS have hatched a controversial plan to turn around dwindling membership - by targeting children as young as 14 in their classrooms.

The Daily Telegraph seem to have missed the fact that young people are paid less than half of a 'normal worker' and are constantly bullied and intimidated in the workforce. There is also a poll on the front page and an editorial which manages to end in a rant about cricket and football.
